Dance Sites World
Any dance enthusiast can tell you that the Internet is where to go for the latest, most up-to-date information on dance. When I initially got started, I would look up dancing websites daily. I think that anybody beginning a dancing business absolutely needs some kind of virtual presence on the Internet.
My personal experience is with swing dancing. When I joined my first swing dance class in 2003, I had absolutely no previous training as a dancer. I truly had "two left feet." Even though dancing didn't come naturally to me, I quickly became addicted to moving to music. I met a lot of great friends out dancing and wanted to become as involved as I could.
I immediately looked to the Internet to try to find a lot of information about dancing. The dance sites I preferred displayed a lot of local information. It was nice to have access to dance schedules in my local neighborhoods.
Message boards are a helpful feature on dance sites as they let dancers keep in contact even when they are not dancing. These message boards can be used for several purposes including o find out about dance related event and sales on shoes and other dance equipment. Many attention grabbing posts are those that compare local DJ's so you can be prepared for night out on the town.
For anyone starting up a business related to dancing, I recommend getting a website up and running to promote your business. For example, if you were starting up a studio to train children in ballet, you would definitely want to use the internet so that parents surfing the web looking for ballet websites find your studio and sign their kids up for your classes!
Based on my own experience as a dancer, dance websites are a valuable source of information. I have found that other dancers also rely on the internet to find information about dance happenings. People running dance-related businesses should take advantage of this interest by starting their own dance sites.
As any avid dancer knows, the internet is a great resource for looking up dance-related information. From the time I first got involved in dance, I visited a number of dancing websites on a regular basis. Message boards are a plus part of such dance sites. They allow you to be in touch with other dancers but they also provide useful posts about upcoming dance functions. Anybody with a business that relates to dance should definitely begin their own website. If you specialize in dance lessons for kids, it would definitely be in your best interest to advertise with your own ballet websites.
